Group - Close Protection Officer & PSD Operator Course, 21 day duration.
The 14 day City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Close Protection,
followed by the 7 day PSD Operator Module.

The PSD
Operator course
is aimed at anyone who is applying to work in High Risk situations, such as
Iraq. it also provides a one-stop course for those wanting their SIA Close
Protection license. Combining the City & Guilds
Level 3 Certificate in Close Protection and a "full on" TACTICS
module. If you are
intent on deploying to places such as Iraq, you need quality training,
you live and learn from operators and team leaders who work there. We teach you
what happens, how to deal with it and most of all, how to stay alive and
keep your client safe. This is the only High Risk PSD Operator course in the
world designed using the City & Guilds 7303 principles
and guidelines, together with fulfilling the SIA requirements for
Close Protection licensing. You can complete and pass the course, deploy to
High Risk areas and license yourself for work in the UK (Only
applicable for those who are legally entitled to work in the
UK). You can be assured we consider all learning
methodology, the training cycle and learning styles so all
students benefit.
Course
Content
The course includes, but is not limited to;
Intro to PSD High Risk Close
Protection work, the PSD role,
make up of PSD Teams, basic skill sets,
body protection, walking drills, foreign weapons drills, communications, driving,
SAP (Security Advance Party) drills, PES (Personal Escort Section)
drills, CAT (Counter Assault Team) drills, Standard Operating
Procedures, Site surveys, route recce's, IED's, vehicle/personnel
searching.
Operating as a PSD Team protecting clients, 7 days of tactical
operations, movements by road, ambushes, location attacks, managing
and training local security, advanced skill set, anti-ambush, surviving the kill zone, tactical
movements by foot, vehicle, location security, recruiting, training
and managing local guard forces.
CV writing, interview techniques, job searching, tips and hints on how
to secure employment. Ending with two days of practical exercises and a written examination.
Accreditation and Reports
The PSD Operator Course is a pass/fail course, designed to meet City
& Guilds Level 3 standard, you will gain, if you pass, your SIA license
for Close Protection, standards are high, assessments are
carried out daily, all
graduating students receive a detailed report on their performance, to use
when applying for work, all successful students will be forwarded to
our strategic partners for interviews.
Food & Accommodation
Food & accommodation are free, breakfast, lunch and dinner. A
sleeping bag will be required.
Eligibility
Anyone over the age of 21, able to communicate, verbally and in
written English and be physically fit is eligible to attend the PSD Training course,
fitness level estimation; 25 push ups in 1 minute, 25 sit ups in
1 minute, 200 metre weight carry, 1.5 mile run, full kit
in 15 minutes. Please be aware we will not guarantee employment, standards are high
and will remain as such.

provide them with PSD operators, able to work, with minimum
leadership in hostile sometimes extreme environments, PSD

LIVE FIRE ADD ON
The PSD
Operator "Live Fire" course is an additional five day fully
residential course using a variety of modern semi-automatic
weapons including Sig P226, HK USP Pistols, AR15 M4 & HK G3
assault rifles. You will be taught everything we know, including
marksmanship principles, Normal safety Precautions (NSP's), weapon
care and maintenance, drawing techniques, firing stances combat
shooting techniques, positioning of equipment, attacks on
principals, tail gunner dills, vehicle drills and under fire
tactical movement. Approx 300 rounds per day
over 5 days.
I have learned more about
surviving in a Level 5 environment on this course, than in my prior 30
years of experience. I have attended too many courses to list, State,
Local and Federal (USA), and have the creds to back up this comment... The
training being currently conducted by PSD-Training is far and away, the
best, real-deal, get you ready for work, hands on type training that is
